This week, I started by printing the new spinner since the old one, the magnet, would constantly fly out and was not stable. This new one worked well, and while I don't have a video this week of the magnet spinning, I have already tried spinning it, and it works well. The magnet got to a very high speed with this, but the base wasn't very stable, so I spent this week redesigning that.

This is the setup I had been using before this week, and it wasn't permanent or stable, so I set out to redesign it this week and create something more permanent. These worked pretty well for what they needed to do, since I just needed to elevate the magnet a little bit so that the spinner would fit underneath it.

I came up with this design that would go around the stand's legs and make sure that they didn't move too much, since that would disrupt the magnet. This was the final design I landed on, but I had a few previous designs; however, I didn't think that they would be stable enough. I am thinking about gluing them together, but I am not sure if I should since sometimes I need to take them apart. I was waiting on a printer this week, and I didn't get one, so I will print them next week.

While I was waiting for a printer I decided to start working on a library for the electronics part of the electromagnet. The electronics are pretty complex, and there are many parts, so I wanted to get as many as I could into the library so that it will save me time in the future. I had mostly forgotten how to make a library since I didnt need to build one for a while, so I used my shop teacher's guides to help me get back into it.

I was also looking at different designs for my next project while I had some extra time, and I found a design that was used on an experimental military plane, the Martin 262. In this plane, the rotors were in the middle of the plane, and I thought that this design was really interesting, though im nI'm sure I'm going to use it since it would be really difficult and I haven't made a regular plane yet.
