This week I started by redesigning the band frame and I included a second frame so that there would be a lot more stability. I had to design a way to attach the motor as well as the spinner through the frame so I just decided to mimic how the motor connected to the cylinder and I made a pin that could attach. Designing this took me a long time because I wanted it to be able to support itself as well as not have it break anytime I try and use it. We also didn't have school on Tuesday and we were grading the sophmores on Monday so that made the designing process take longer. I am happy with this design and I think it will work well for most things I want to do. I was debating adding bearings but I decided to wait on that and add them in later if I need to because it would take a lot more time to add them and I think that because I am not using speeds that will be too extreme the pla should be able to handle it itself.

I also cut out the two horizontal parts of the frame as they would not take long and they came out great without any issues. They look like they will work well for what I plan to do and I measured them and tried attaching it to the motor and it worked very well. I also started to print out the other parts of the design and I ended up being able to use the new 3d printer which was extremely fast and precise which was cool to see. They should be done by Friday and I will test them out as soon as I get a chance to.
