Week of 12/2 -12-6

This week I didn’t get much done because I was only here for one day to actually work because over the weekend I got sick and couldn’t come to school monday tuesday or wednesday which led to me only really being able to work thursday before this blog post. I dont have a picture of me with strep throat sadly.

What I did though was some testing for my electromagnet where I tested how much it can hold as well as how well it holds while the top is spinning. From what I was able to test I think that at lower speeds and stationary the magnet is able to hold it fine but as soon as it starts to get fast then it won’t be fully attached to the magnet anymore even though it is still being pulled on. I also talked to my shop teacher and ordered some magnet wire which will be very helpful for this project as the strength would drastically increase.
