This week I started by finishing up my circuit for the electromagnet. It wasn't working at first and so I thought it was the mosfet I was using and I was right so I replaced it and it started to work again. Then, I tested it with the electromagnet as a part of the circuit and it stopped working but I just had to turn up the current on the power supply.

Next I started designing a holder for the hall effect sensor so that if the magnet were to slam into the electromagnet, it would not crash into the sensor and would instead just stop on the plastic. The print worked well and the sensor fit fine inside of it. I am using tape right now since I am still testing how it will work but I plan to switch to something more permanent eventually.

After I got all of that done, I had a little bit of time left before class ended so I began to test levitating the magnet and it seems to work how I want it to, I just have to adjust the potentiometer in order to have the magnet balance at the perfect spot.
